Beatbox Glove
The Arduino Beatbox Glove is a wearable interface that tightly couples rhythm with bodily gesture. Equipped with accelerometers and touch sensors, the glove captures a beatboxer’s hand movements during vocal performance. Concurrently, embedded vibration motors convert real-time audio signals into tactile pulses, inducing involuntary finger motions that embody the rhythm. Through this bidirectional mapping—the performer’s sounds trigger haptic feedback, which in turn shapes subsequent gestures—the glove blurs the boundary between vocalisation and movement. The rhythm propagates not only through sound but also via the body, illustrating the co-dependent relationship between music and physical expression.
